Thursday saw the second ever petting zoo at SUSU, which proved to be just as much of a success as the first.
Forming part of SUSU’s de-stress scheme during exams, the theory behind the petting zoo is that cute animals can help us relax. For others, it was an end of exam treat – everyone’s a winner, really.
Here’s a few of the best photos we found on Facebook and Twitter: let us know if we missed any gems.

We weren’t quite sure what exactly made us find this so funny – personally I think it’s the sheep’s face. Photo credit

I walked past and only saw a load of stupid animals, petting farmyard creatures

Events like these are such a waste of money, who the f*** actually wants a petting zoo? And calling it a petting zoo is such a flattery, there were a few animals at best, spend money of GOOD events instead please that appeal to the majority of students not to the ones who pick the events!

“[spend money on] events that appeal to the majority of students…” You mean like free laptop repairs?

Have never commented before but I can’t agree more with you Cantona, please reveal the person who puts forward ideas like these. A petting zoo? Really?! Only about 0.005% if students probably thought ‘oooo what a good idea’, the rest probably thought along the lines of ‘oooo what a ridiculous thing to have’, the only reason the zoo looks even remotely busy is because all your soton tab editors have to go to these things!
