Takedown Festival returns to Southampton University this Saturday for its fourth year of musical goodness.

Takedown Festival is back in Southampton for 2015 with headliners Mallory Knox.

Also joining them is Charlie Simpson, better known as the voice of Busted, and Welsh band The Blackout who will be performing their last south coast show at the festival before calling it a day.

Previous headliners of the alternative rock music event include the likes of Funeral for a Friend, Skindred and The Blackout.

If that’s not to your liking, there are another 40 alternative, rock and metal bands lined up to play across five stages throughout the day.

With a large choice of acts to see, we’ve put together a list of five acts that we think are not to be missed!

Having recently gone through a name change (formerly known as Cytota), this four-piece metal band from Birmingham is one to listen out for. Find them on the Southampton Music Introducing Stage, 9.20pm.

Opening the Uprawr Stage, Confessions of a Traitor are sure to get the party started. Be sure to check out their latest video for The Wolf, The Pack on their Facebook page. Uprawr Stage, 1.50pm.

Local band Dead! are back for another year playing at the festival and are one to watch. Make sure to check out their video for Alaska on their YouTube page. The Obsidian Stage, 7pm.

A slightly lighter choice compared to some of the other acts on offer but by no means less exciting, the lads from Canterbury will be stopping in Southampton for the festival as one of the last stops on their headline tour. Find Moose Blood on stage in the Stag’s Head at 7.55pm.

With the release of their second album Asymmetry in late 2014, their latest single When Are We Waking Up?, and other great hits such as Lighthouse, headliners Mallory Knox are definitely not to be missed. Catch them on the main stage at 10pm.

The event will be taking place this Saturday, 7th March. Tickets are available from the SUSU box office at a special price of £30 for students (normal price £40).
