It has been announced that Grace Jones will be the headliner for the Common People Sunday Stage.
After the first acts were revealed last month, we know that she will be joining the likes of Fatboy Slim, who is headlining the Saturday, as well as Clean Bandit, Band of Skulls, Jaguar Skills, and many more artists that have already been announced.
With famous songs such as ‘Slave to the Rhythm’ and ‘La Vie En Rose’, Grace Jones is just the sort of classic artist that Common People has been missing.
Other artists that have been revealed include Years & Years and DJ’s such as Secondcity, Wave & Odyssey and Jeremy Underground.
Rob De Bank, the main organiser behind Common People has commented saying:
Grace Jones is a global icon in music and style, and an all-round radical lady, who has made some of my favourite records… She also put on one of my favourite festival performances ever, at Bestival, so I can’t wait to watch her at Common People!
The Organisers have also assured us that:
Southampton Common will be the only possible destination for the bank holiday on 23rd & 24th May.
You can still get tickets for Common People at their website. Let us know what you think of Grace Jones as the Sunday headliner in the comments below.
