The first picture feels sexist. 2 guys in graduation gowns with a girl in their arms? Girls graduate too. Not the best picture to promote anything at Uni.

Not sure if actual feminist, or just troll pretending to be feminist in order to start an argument (not that it takes a lot to do that here…)

My money is on the latter.

It doesn’t take a genius to notice that the same two girls are dressed as graduating students in the second picture. I really hope feminists didn’t reach this level of absurdity.

I didn’t realise that selective abstraction was a prerequisite for feminism? Kindly note the second image depicting the same four students, each wearing a graduation gown. Girls do graduate. Those who devote time to making pointless, misinformed, and frankly ridiculous comments on a public forum, do not.

Is it confirmed? There is no info on the graduation page and no email was sent out to the finalists…

Concerned feminist you just look for reasons to start an argument. The second picture shows women graduating if that helps yo to climb down from your high horse.
Why should every picture need to representative of the overall?
Perhaps its more important to point out that, there are no black, or Asian people and they “graduate too. Not the best picture to promote anything at Uni.”

The first picture is the one used as the icon for the article. People may or may not choose to read the article and thereby find the second picture.
The first picture, used as the icon is only representing two white males graduating. I felt it was made even worse by having two girls who are NOT in graduation gowns.
I agree with ‘Normal Person’ but it was the presence of girls not wearing the gowns (therefore allowing the perception that they are just there to support the men) rather than the absence of girls that caused me to find the pictures reproachable.

Concerned Feminist, would it be sexist if it were 2 girls in graduation gowns with a guy in their arms? Clearly everyone but feminists are capable of independent thought, so can you tell me what to think please? Cheers ……Great trolling by the way
