Hartley Avenue has been cordoned off this morning after a gas leak scare.
Earlier this morning a lorry hit a wall which has a gas main running through it, sparking fears of a gas leak. Police have said that the area will remain isolated and the gas supply will have to be cut off.

At one point this morning police, ambulance and the fire brigade were all present on the scene.
Police believe that the gas meter affected is a commercial one for the University only so the surrounding houses should remain unaffected.
Workers from Southern Gas Networks are on the scene now dealing with the situation.
